Video Of The Milky Way Taken From El Teide
Came across this video taken by Mr. TSO whilst he was visiting El Teide, the highest mountain in Spain (@3718m). This video was filmed between April 4th to April 11th, 2011.
El Teide is renowned to be one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and our Milky Way, and it is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world’s best observatories.
The purpose of the visit to El Teide was to capture the beautiful Milky Way using time-lapse cameras, of which Mr. Tso has to carry lots of his camera and video gears and hike all the way up the mountain of such high altitudes, with less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week.
During this shoot, Mr. Tso was caught in a large sandstorm that hits the Sahara Desert on the 9th April, and instead of ruining the shots he had painstakingly took, the camera was able to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island, making it look like golden clouds.
